The NEA Fall 2014 Program Committee invites you to submit a proposal for the Fall 2014 meeting in Newport, Rhode Island on November 1st (meeting date left out of yesterdays announcement).

This half-day symposium will focus on innovative implementations of technology and archival theory in a variety of institutions. The goal of this meeting is to provide attendees with practical advice to strategize for and successfully implement similar projects in their own institutions.

The Program Committee seeks proposals for sessions which will describe current and recent projects in detail, including the planning process, intended outcomes, workflows, and results. The sessions should also include strategies for successful application in other institutions.

The Program Committee is particularly interested in the following topics, although all topics will be considered:

  • Digital preservation

  • Outreach/marketing

  • Records management

  • Crowdsourcing

  • Online exhibits

  • Backlog processing

  • Instruction

Please submit proposals to Abigail Cramer by March 21, 2014. Include your name, contact information, and a description of the project and its relevance to other institutions.
