Join New England Archivists for a discussion and Q&A with the author of “Factors Associated with the Implementation of the Protocols for Native American Archival Materials: An Exploratory Study.” The paper highlights results from a 2023 survey of archivists and memory workers at non-Tribal institutions with collections related to Indigenous communities, and discusses the factors affecting the implementation of PNAAM. Anyone interested in ethical stewardship, culturally responsive care of Indigenous collections, and best practices is welcome to attend. Attendees are invited to join in an open discussion of the article, where they can hear more from the author, pose questions to the group, and discuss how the article reflects or informs their own work.
