Join members of the NEA Nominating Committee and current NEA leaders for an informational session about running for NEA office. This summer, the Nominating Committee seeks candidates to run for four elected offices in NEA’s fall election: Vice President/President-Elect, Treasurer-Elect, and two Representatives-at-Large. All NEA members in good standing are eligible to serve as an officer, including candidates at all career stages and points in their NEA journey. If you’re interested in serving in NEA and would like more information about running for office, this is the session for you! We’ll provide an overview of open offices, discuss the process of running, hear from current elected leaders about their service experiences, and leave plenty of time for your questions. This session is free to attend, but registration is required. All registrants will receive a link to a recording of the session after it concludes, so please register even if you’re unable to attend on the day of the event.
