NOVEMBER IS ELECTION MONTH
In order to vote in this year's New England Archivists election, you must be a member in good standing. If your membership has recently lapsed, TODAY (Tuesday, November 8th) is the last day to join/renew your NEA membership to be eligible to vote. To renew, log into the NEA website for further information.

Once you are a member in good standing, mark your calendars for the 2016 NEA Election: November 15th through the 25th. Private and secure voting will take place online through votenet.com. You should receive an email on or around November 15th with your unique username and password.
This week the NEA 2016 Nominating Committee will introduce this year’s candidates through a series of announcements. The candidates are listed below, and you can check out the candidates’ statements any time on the NEA website. Also we have information on the NEA Code of Conduct, which will be included on the ballot.

Code of Conduct: This fall, the members of NEA will be asked to vote on the adoption of a code of conduct policy for NEA spaces and events. The formal comment period for the draft ran from April 15th to June 1st, 2016. A final version of the code and supplemental information are now available on the NEA website (PDF).
