Join Us to See the Magna Carta on Display at the MFA!

The Magna Carta is in Boston this summer!  One of only four original 1215 copies is on display right now at the Museum of Fine Arts in the exhibit, “Magna Carta: Cornerstone of Liberty."

On Saturday, August 23, join your New England Archivists and Special Libraries Association New England colleagues to visit this historic document considered to be the foundation of democracy, modern law, human rights, and influence the constitutions of many nations.

465 Huntington Avenue
Boston, MA

We will meet at the Huntington Avenue entrance to the museum.

NB: If you are paying with a membership or library pass -- purchase your tickets at Huntington Avenue entrance and wait there. If you are joining us for the $20 group rate -- meet at the Group Entrance (located on Museum Road on the left side of the museum on Museum Road) and we will proceed to the Huntington Avenue entrance to meet up with the rest of the group.


WHEN:

Saturday, August 23rd at 2pm

COST
Regular museum entrance is $25.
If enough people register, we will be eligible for the group rate ($20 per person).
Everyone is responsible for their own museum admission fee.

If you are in the Greater Boston area, your library may offer free or discounted museum passes (with a valid library card).

AFTER THE EXHIBIT

NEA and SLA-New England have both generously donated money towards the purchase of appetizers for a post-museum social (location TBD). All other food and drink will be pay-on-your-own.
